A very acclaimed documentary movie called “A Town Called Brzostek” by the director Simon Target will be screened at the Tel Aviv University on November 22, at 18:00.
The movie is a fascinating tale about a once Jewish town in Galizia the inhabitants of which are trying to restore and preserve the memory of its Jewish past. After the screening there will be a discussion with the participation of the chief historian of Yad Vashem – Prof. Dina Porat – the former ambassador to Poland –Zvi Ravner and the journalist Ofer Aderet.
The event will get underway with speeches by Prof. Dan Laor – Head of the Zimbalista Center and Prof. Jonathan Weber of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and it will be rounded off by Mr. Gil Faran – the chairman of the Organization of Israeli Guides conducting tours in Poland.
Light refreshments will be served before the screening.
