The International Musrara Art Festival is about to be held for the 18th time and dozens of artists from Israel and abroad shall participate and exhibit all over Jerusalem’s Musrara neighborhood and in the galleries of the Musrara Art School. All of this will take place between May 29-31, 2018 during the hours 19.00-23.00.

This year the festival shall be called “Breathturn” and its theme shall be uncertainty and complications. The term was coined by Paul Celan

Visitors at the “The Musrara Mix – Breathturn” are offered access to a new reality, complex, hypnotizing and surprising.

The festival encompasses an interdisciplinary concept enriched by the participation of dozens of local and foreign artists and musicians. One of the main ideas of this year’s festival shall be “behavioral troubles” – a special program entirely dedicated to installation art. This is a first at this festival. The program will be held in the “Garden of Miracles” in the center of the Musrara neighborhood and it shall enable visitors to take part in the creative process.  The focus of the program shall be a performance by a few artists from Poland, where installation art developed already in the 60` – Łukasz Trusewicz, Agnieszka Szablikowska, Aleks Slota, Anna Kalwajtys, Aleksandra Grunholz and Jakub Mukolajczyk. They will exhibit new works which were created especially for the Musrara festival.
