Performance Artur Tajber, the Polish performance art artist, will be a guest of Blurrr 5 - the Fifth Biennial of Performance Art. BLURRR 5 will take place from November 23 till 26, 2005 at the Centre for Contemporary Art new building, Kalisher Street and its galleries, as well as in the surrounding area: the Carmel Market, the pedestrian street of Nachlat Benyamin and the historic streets of the old city centre of Tel Aviv. Besides ten major Israeli performance artists, seven guest artists will be coming to Israel to take part in Blurrr 5: Peter Baren (Netherlands); Sandra Johnston (North Ireland); Artur Tajber (Poland); Miriam Laplante (Italy); Jamie McMurray (US); Roland Miller (UK); Lee Wen (Singapore).

Artur Tajber Artur Tajber - Born in Stalinogrod (today Katowice) in 1953. Education: art college in Krakow, State Polytechnic for Visual Arts (PWSSP) in Wroclaw, and Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow; MFA at Faculty of Painting, 1978; PHD 1989; today professor and head of Interfaculty Dept. for Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. First public performance – 1975. Visual artist, object maker, writer, performer, art organizer... who has been presenting work around the world since 1974. He is concerned with conceptual design and the theory of art, unrestricted by divisions of media or discipline.
