Exhibition and conference
The
presentation of contemporary Polish and Israeli artists is an
attempt at confronting the individual memory with the official
historical narratives. The project focuses on the issues of history,
however not only in reference to the Holocaust but also the history
of the Polish People’s Republic and the political transformation in
Poland after 1989. The exhibition, which takes place during the
celebrations of the 60th anniversary of State of Israel
as well as the Polish Year in Israel, will provide an insight into
the Polish and Israeli artists’ reactions towards the issues of
Memory.
The
opening will be preceded by a conference and a panel discussion with
distinguished historians, psychologists as well as historians and
theoreticians of art from Poland and Israel.

Exhibition - March 68. Farewells and Returns
The project touches upon a painful sphere of private memory and
emotions. Its main idea was to make a group of Polish and Israeli
students cooperate during several workshop sessions under the
guidance of experienced documentaries. The works realized by the
students are to bring the topic of March '68 closer to the general
audience and introduce new information to the historical
discussions.

Screenings of Polish-Israeli Dance Videos at the Vdance festival

produced in cooperation between the Polish and Israeli dancers,
choreographers and video artists. The main aim of the project is to
provide a meeting place for the Polish and Israeli artists resulting
in cooperation, exchange of experience and experiments in dance,
sound and video. The invited artists will meet in the course of
workshops conducted in Poland (in march) and Israel (in June),
during which they would produce short videodance presentations
