This year, the annual conference on the occasion of Holocaust
Memorial Day shall focus on the topic of Polish-Jewish relations.
Poland shall be represented by Dr. Eleonora Bergman (ŻIH),
Dr. Dariusz Libionka (IPN), Prof. Jan Grabowski and
Marcin Urynowicz (IPN).

Phenomenology: “Reception and Transformation”
Polish-Israeli philosophical conference
The third of a series of philosophical conferences arranged by the
Polish Institute, the Jagiellonian University and Israeli
universities shall be dedicated to phenomenology and will offer yet
another opportunity to exchange experiences and to strengthen
scientific ties between Polish and Israeli academia.
The choice of topic is a reaction to the growing interest in Poland
as well as in Israel in the father of phenomenology, Edmund Husserl,
and in French phenomenologists such as Emanuel Levinas and the
representative of this philosophical school in Poland – Roman
Ingarden.
The conference shall be held on December 2-3, 2007 at the Tel
Aviv University, Gilman Room 496
