Solemn presentation of the
Museum of History of the Polish Jewry to be built in Warsaw
opposite the Monument of the Ghetto’s Heroes by Rappaport,
according to the project of the Finish architect Rainer
Mahlamak, winner of the competition (as by jury’s decision made
at the end of 2004).
Programme: Monday, January 16, 7.00pm, a Panel at the Einvav Hall (Ibn Gvirol 76) in Tel Aviv under the auspices of Tel Aviv’s Major Ron Huldai, and organised jointly by the Museum’s Direction, the Polish Institute in Tel Aviv and the Society for Polish-Israeli Friendship: *Presentation of the project, of its ideological and artistic foundations by Jerzy Halbersztadt, the Director of the Museum. * Discussion panel, led by the renowned journalist Sewer Plocker. Announced their participation in the panel: the Israeli Ambassador in Poland David Peleg, the Polish Ambassador in Israel Jan Wojciech Piekarski, Prof. David Assaf from the Tel Aviv University, the writer Nava Semel, as well as a representative of the Museum’s Direction. The panel will welcome participants’ questions and/or personal observations concerning the project.
