Joanna Dobrakowska – mezzo-soprano, graduate of the Wroclaw Academy of Music; stipendiary of the Austrian Ministry of Culture ; Prof. Helena Lazarska’s pupil. Prizewinner in Poland and abroad.  Made her debut in “The Magic Flute” by Mozart. Sung, among others, in “Eugenie Onegin” by Tchaikovsky, and in “La finta giardiniera” by Mozart (the role of Don Ramiro).

 

 

 

Joanna Sperska – soprano, graduate of the Gdansk Academy of Music. The pupil of the well-known singer Zofia Janukowicz-Poblocka. Also learned in Italy, Holland, and Germany. Performed as a soloist with the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, with the Dubrovnik Symphonic Orchestra, as well as with the Tel Aviv Chamber Orchestra.

 

 

 

 

Marcin Koziel – pianist, graduate of the Gdansk Academy of Music. Besides the piano, plays organ and is a tenor singer. Performed in several places in Poland and in the world.

 

 

 


Zbigniew Preisner - Echoes of Kieslowski

Zbigniew Preisner was Krzysztof Kieslowski’s close friend and composed the scores for Kieslowski’s films "Dekalog," "The Double Life Of Veronique," The Three Colours Trilogy and more. Their collaboration has been compared to that of Fellini-Rota and Leone-Morricone.

Filmmakers, composers and the general public are invited to meet with the celebrated Polish composer and talk about music, Kieslowski and films. Preisner’s piece, "Requiem for my friend," dedicated to the memory of Krzysztof Kieslowski, will be performed during the festival by the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.
